Based on the earlier 1970s beaver symbol, the design consists of a stylized beaver, positioned above a log, surrounded by a circular stroked line.
Three versions of the logo were created. The initial version contained elements along its back, to represent fur. This version was replaced by a second more refined version, which smoothed the beaver’s back and added crosshatching to its tail.
The simplified third version was later created for signage.
