Organization: Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) logo consists of an upright chevron that represents the roof of a house. The logo often appears with the 11-point maple leaf and the English and French abbreviations of the organization.
A federal Crown corporation, CMHC was created in 1946 to address Canada’s post-war housing shortage. It provides mortgage loan insurance, mortgage-backed securities, housing policy and programs, and housing research.
