Manitoba Harbours Map
The Manitoba Harbours Map has been compiled by Travel Manitoba in conjunction with the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Small Craft Harbours Branch (Western) and the Department of Natural Resources (Parks Branch). Its purpose is to acquaint you with small craft facilities within the province and to augment information already contained in the Manitoba Vacation Guide. It is subject to change at all times.
The federal, provincial, municipal and private boat launching and docking facilities that have been pinpointed on this map are listed according to the lake or river system on which they are located. These systems are alphabetically arranged and the letters beside them refer to the map grid (e.g., Adam Lake (B1]). Services and facilities available at each docking or launching point have been designated by code (see below). They are located on site or within a one-half mile radius and are either publicly or privately owned. The majority of ramps listed, both natural and constructed, will handle boats of up to 6 metres (20 feet) in length. Dockside depths are approximate and subject to variation.
Remember that is is wise to prepare in advance for a boating trip and to practice boat- ing safety at all times. In that way the risks are minimal and the fun unlimited. For detailed navigational and lake depth charts, contact the Map Sales/Photo Library, Department of Natural Resources, 1007 Century St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3H OW4.
